How to Change Default Download Location
Changing your default download location can help you organize your files better. Here's how to do it on different platforms and browsers.
Windows Chrome/Edge
- Open Chrome or Edge
- Click the three dots menu (⋮) > Settings
- Scroll down to "Advanced" > "Downloads"
- Click "Change" next to "Location"
- Select your preferred folder
Mac Safari
- Open Safari
- Go to Safari > Preferences
- Click the "General" tab
- Choose location next to "File download location"
- Select "Other..." to pick a custom folder
Mac Chrome
- Open Chrome
- Click Chrome > Preferences
- Go to "Advanced" > "Downloads"
